2022 international Under 17 Hockey Tournament

We are thrilled to partner with the Eisbären Juniors Berlin to host the international Hockey is Diversity Tournament. Every year since 2015 our organizations have jointly sponsored this event in celebration of diversity. We invite exceptional teams from a variety of countries to join in our community and compete in a high-caliber junior hockey tournament to promote diversity and inclusion on and off the ice.

The tournament follows the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) rules which also require (3) three referees. 

The tournament protocol:

• The tournament shall last for (3) three days.
• Every team shall play (5) five games.
• The time allowed for a game shall be (3) three times (17) seventeen-minute periods of actual play with a rest intermission between periods.
• Final Game for the first place shall be (3) three times (20) twenty-minute periods of actual play with a rest intermission between periods.
• Each rest intermission shall last for (15) fifteen-minutes.
• Play shall be promptly resumed following each rest intermission.

Unfortunately, this year there is only limited audience of max. 100 Persons allowed by the authorities due to the current Pandemic situation. We are doing our best to make the games available to the audience through all digital channels. We will have a live-ticker and streaming of the games. Like always there will be live statistics of all games and the whole tournament.

We need to ensure the health of all participants at all times, that is why only the players and staff are allowed to enter the players area and locker rooms. There will be a strict concept for the visiting audience to allow only 100 people for each game. 

There will be strict hygienic and distance rules applied.
