Roman Josi of the Nashville Predators interviewed

A few days ago Hockey is Diversity was able to talk to Nashville Predators Captain and Swiss Native 🇨🇭 Roman Josi about our tournament and that we use the opportunity to talk to the kids about racism, discrimination and inequality. We asked Roman about the importance of the NHL setting a strong sign against racism and what he would tell the kids of our tournament.
This is what Josi said: „I think it is important that we as players use our platform in the fight against racism. For us it is extremely important that equality applies to everyone, that we are part of this „change“, that there is an end to racism. For us players this is extremely important. Everybody should have the same chances, no matter where they come from or what skin colour. Everyone deserves the same chance. For us players it is important that we have this conversation, that we talk about this topic. We want to be a part of the fight against racism. That’s why we wore the t-shirts yesterday. Matt Dumba 🇵🇭 🇨🇦 had a speech before the game. We all listened carefully. We all want to be a part of the fight against racism!“
